Welcome To Port Tampa United Methodist Church

In his letter to the Ephesians, Paul reminds us that through Jesus Christ, we are no longer strangers and sojourners, but members of the household of God who have been joined together into a holy temple, a dwelling place of God in the spirit. (Ephesians 2:19-22) The church is not a building made of concrete and wood.  The church is the people who gather there to worship God and live out their faith through personal spiritual growth and  Christian service.

         Within this web site you will find things concerning the people who are Port Tampa United Methodist Church.  We are a community who worships and loves God, and seeks to lead people into a discipleship of Jesus Christ.  It is our mission to foster spiritual growth and make mature Christian disciples while loving, caring for and reaching out to the needs of our members and our community.

 We are the Body of Christ.  We are within the Family of God.  We are Gods Holy Temple.  All who enter our doors are no longer strangers, but members of that Family of God.  As you view these web pages, know that you are seeing the activities of the church; the people, not the building.  It is not perfect, and it is not complete, but each day we strive to follow Gods vision for us with open hearts, open minds and open doors.  We invite all who are searching to join us on this most exciting and grace-filled journey.
